The end of July
So many things happened in July. In no order, I’ll be posting them up.
1. I started using the Apple iPhone. A 3GS nonetheless.

With the iPhone’s many camera applications available, I am impressed by certain pictures I took. Partly because i never thought a camera in itself would be able to do so much.
The following picture is just one without any effects. If you have me on FB, the picture of me with the Dots have been altered in-camera by Pudding Camera (a Korean application).
(Don’t bother asking me to add you on FB – I’ll do so when I know you better. Or if I find you irritating, you’re on the way towards deletion.
And if you have something against Apple – don’t bother telling me.)
2. I’ve ORD-ed.

Nothing much to say. Just “ORD LO!”
You guys must have saw the previous post where I posted my own ORD LO video. There is nobody else in Singapore doing it. -___-”
I thank my colleagues for accepting me as a hot-headed, flaring bastard. And on occasion also, bear with the heavy consequences of being a J2 at times (for being so fiery la).
At least I know I’m not like -him-.
3. Went clubbing for Gerald’s Birthday.

We went to Phuture.
The last time I went clubbing was MOS with Christopher (like 2005), and then Supperclub with T and gang (2010, they refused to go up on my blog).
For your information, we drank minimally, because there were mainly “spillages” (won’t elaborate) and a lot of laughs. =P
Hope you had a great time, Gerald. I’m glad I lasted the night (unlike some people)! =X
(For you kaypohs/friends-who-think-you-should-know-them; from left, Derrick, Jiaxing, Gerald, Dawne and Adam. Don’t go “tees gai, tat gai; tees gurr, tat gurr”. So rude!)
4. The Acachamps are coming!!

21st-23rd August! More details can be found on www.a-cappella.org.sg!
This year, I’m competing with two teams!
The NEW pop-rock-ballad group, THE DOTS!

I know we don’t look very pop-rock-ballad-y, but we are a bunch of energy-emitting people with loads of harmonies! It’s been a great joy working on the set with (seated from left) Elaine, Sali, Sarali, Noraz and (seated with me), Aaron.
Special mention to Z, Jiaqi and Mabel who’ve joined us shortly, but couldn’t commit.
And not forgetting my all-time favourite, pals, best friends, the wonderful, ACAPPUCCINO!
This is our 3rd year in the champs, out of our 4 years singing together. As usual, we’ll be presenting closed-harmony pieces. We took up the champs once again because we won’t be competing next year.
Because… You guys are coming for our FIRST CONCERT in celebration of our 5th year together!
So watch out our site at http://acappuccino.wordpress.com for more details when we firm it up.
Concert is slated to be in July next year, BTW. =)
(For you people again, clockwise from first female on left, Yuqin, Alvis, Gerald, Derrick, Farhanah and Fanella; but of course you should know that, right?)
I know the event’s in August, but I’ve been busy with rehearsals with them, k? And that’s JULY’S MATTER!
Acapp’s performing at the SIT Inauguration tomorrow!
5. Shuying’s GRADUATED and BACK IN SINGAPORE!!

The final member of our little trio is back!
Shuying is the trio’s first UNIVERSITY graduate. So proud of her!
I’ll be next!
No offense, but Yijing has equal chances!
We went to Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub at Marina Square after our dinner gathering!

So guess which drink is mine – the bourbon, the seabreeze or the magarita cocktail?
NOTE to Eileen: Yes, you’re still one of us – as long as you do keep in contact and not fly aeroplanes. Your’s compared to certain people is a huge jumbo jet.
And these were what happened (of course not in order of happenings) in July that has gotten me so busy.
Episodes After Episodes
Was chatting with a few friends recently and we all happen to noticed a few problems. Thus I’ve decided to blog and wonder if any of you have similar problems.
Has anyone noticed the amount of nosey people around us?
These people who seem to have nothing better to do, but just poke their noses (or their so unflattering bodies) into everything they can, try to claim credit for bring part of the “in” crowd, or just cause problems for society.
Yes. I admit to saying this, and I’ll specially edit this: NOSEY PEOPLE ARE A BANE TO SOCIETY.
And it’s so sad that a majority of females (who really don’t deserve any empowerment of any sorts) are in fact, idiotically nosey!
I remembered there was one day I was out waiting for a bus and an accident between a motorbike and a lorry happened; and before Don’t Stop Believeing could finish playing its first stanza, there was a thick crowd, mainly elderly, middle-aged aunties surrounding the accident site, into the road even!
Someone prove to me otherwise that elderly females do have some form of life.
They were jostling at each other, seemingly unwilling to move off even when the police officers were there. Because of the crowd (note, not the accident), traffic was bottlenecked and I had to wait even longer for a bus – and all I can hear from that crowd were little cries of people pushing from the back (WTF?!) and what the license plate numbers were, and how much they’re betting.
Seriously.
The ambulance came and it wasn’t a surprise to me, that the aunties were somewhat inconsolable to move out from the scene to let the ambulance reach the casualties. I didn’t stay too long to know what happened (I have a life, compared to these shrivelling raisins) and I was pretty upset by such a scene.
They were like monkeys, except grotesque and whiny!
Awww… Sock monkeys!! Okay, back to the topic of nosey people.
And why do I say they’re a bane to society?
I’m pretty sure that there are a million and one things to life that one can do, instead of poking their fingers into every pie or muffin at the bakery.
You might not be rich or pampered enough to afford 4 movies a week, go on fabulous dinners or concerts. You might not need to plan for anything big like a wedding because you’re so shrivelled, people think you’re remarrying after a widowing yourself, or something worst. So you need to fulfill some unknown void in your life before you really shrivel up and die, leaving society to finally prosper and move on to greater things.
Besides, being nice; some of these people do not have really beautiful childhoods. Despair, or neglect awaits them, thus now that they feel empowered (in some stupid way to do stupid things) to try to help and actually screw things up for society.
And you know what – enough of them.
I’m going off for some siesta!
Oh, in case you aunty-alike people (or just nosey/kaypoh nolifers) are curious, it’s called rest. *beams*
